The Friends of Saint Nicholas
The Friends of Saint Nicholas was established in December 2019 in order to raise, invest, and disburse funds for the construction and further improvement of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at 130 Liberty Street, to replace the edifice at 155 Cedar Street destroyed on September 11, 2001, and to serve as a parish of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
The Friends will support the on-going operation and maintenance of the Church by exercising authority as delegated by the Parish and accepted by the Corporation. They will also provide financial, management, advisory, and service assistance and support to the construction and further improvement of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine.
